Summary of Position:

We are seeking a data-driven marketer/product manager with proven digital experience to drive our monetization initiatives. You will be responsible for execution and optimization of promotional offers, longer term plans, bundles, tiers, and overall monetization framework. Customer segmentation, targeting, and maintenance of offer communications/flows will be an important part of this role.

This person will help boost STARZ OTT acquisition and retention efforts, working closely with our storefront partners and product/engineering teams to plan out and maximize impact of promotions and subscription plans that we run. The role requires a passion for results, a commitment to action-oriented analysis, and an attitude that anything is possible. 

You will have extensive experience with A/B testing and marketing experimentation. You will relentlessly innovate on behalf of customers, and actively participate in a strong culture of rapid experimentation, measurement, and iteration.

  • Build out broader monetization strategy and execution plan, across promotions/offers, subscription terms/tiers, bundles/partnerships, etc.
  • Own the subscription plan and promotional offer roadmap; track and report against results; lead efforts to expand or launch offers as necessary to boost growth
  • Develop innovative and profitable promotions / trial strategies including targeting, offers, flows, cadence and frequency
  • Ensure pricing, offers, messaging and creative is effective and consistent (where applicable) across acquisition channels and partners
  • Work with storefronts and partners to coordinate subscription plans, offer roadmap and promotions
  • Partner closely with Legal, Finance, Insights & Analytics, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams 
  • Devise, launch, test and optimize subscription plans, tiers, and offer campaigns across the customer lifecycle, content calendar, and seasonal holidays through multiple channels including email, push notifications, and in-app messages
  • Monitor and analyze campaign results across all channels to understand the effectiveness of strategies and tactics for improving take rates and retention
  • Execute against robust test and learn strategies that guide optimization of offer communications
  • Collaborate with Product and UX teams to optimize all offer sign-up flows and communications
  • Conduct market research to understand and syndicate promotional offers and pricing trends across the OTT space and where STARZ fits in relative to competition
  • Keep a pulse on promotions limitations across app storefronts, and know the rules/guidelines inside and out
  • Build and optimize monetization engines that maximize both take rate and effective rate across as many touch points as possible (including but not limited to funnel drop-off, conversion to paid, cancellation flows, renewals, etc.)
  • Build and maintain tools that empower product/marketing teams to manage subscription plans, promotions, offers, and corresponding marketing assets
Experience & Skills:
  • 7 -10 years of experience in a marketing/promotions/product role preferably in a subscription business
  • Excel at juggling multiple projects, staying organized and prioritizing deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in AB/multivariate testing with an ability to effectively turn reporting and analysis in to insights and strategies
  • Strong pricing/promotions experience
  • Strong experience in engagement and retention marketing throughout different portions of the lifecycle
  • Proven ability in synthesizing and interpreting data and customer insights into successful acquisition and reactivation campaigns
  • Obsessed with positive customer experience, content/copywriting, and accuracy across all customer touch points
  • Seasoned in managing timelines, delivery, dependencies, communication across teams
  • Comfortable in a data-driven business environment and able to pivot readily based on real-time data
  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
  • Strong creative sensibilities and an aptitude to always look at MarComm through the eyes of the customer; Expert in copywriting and grammar; multilingual preferred
  • Experience with pricing/promotions in multiple international regions preferred
  • Proficiency in Marketing Automation software (ideally LeanPlum) preferred
