Summary of Position:

STARZ seeks a SVP, Creative Services to oversee the development of creative materials and operations of the Creative Services team. The SVP is an experienced creative who uses strategic and business objectives to develop breakthrough creative that connects with all types of audiences, elevates the brand and Originals campaigns, and drives the business forward. The SVP is an inspirational leader with strong strategic, creative, collaborative, and organizational skills who has demonstrated experience leading a creative team, preferably in a TV network or OTT environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead in-house creative team, which includes video, print, interactive design, and still photography
  • Collaborate with internal clients and external agencies and stakeholders to develop leading-edge creative assets that inform, entertain, and meet business strategy and objectives
  • Works closely with the SVP, Marketing and President, Domestic Networks to develop the creative vision for the STARZ brand including Originals campaigns
  • Provide operational, creative and strategic leadership in the conceptualization, development, and execution of creative materials including being able to effectively provide feedback that maintains consistent creative quality
  • Uphold the highest level of standards to maintain accuracy and proficiency for all work from concept to completion
  • Maintain a long-term, strategic view – anticipate opportunities (and necessities) for coordination, synchronization and integration across multiple platforms, lines of business and departments
  • Ensure strategic alignment of creative with overall business priorities including tune-in, brand evolution, originals campaigns, programming priorities, and marketing objectives
  • Develop a culture of innovation and mentor creative staff in support of improved creative output and career development
  • Use metrics and analytical data to develop processes and workflows that maximize internal resources and allocate limited resources to achieve business priorities
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in creative operations in entertainment marketing and promotions ideally at a creative agency or network/studio
  • Minimum five years management experience; and/or combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading creative teams and campaigns with a high volume of creative marketing assets, on time and on budget  
  • Strong strategic and creative skills are crucial, as well as strong organizational and operational expertise
  • Employs strong understanding of the tools and technology resources necessary for the development of promotional spots and materials
  • Knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process, including providing clear direction, giving timely and helpful coaching to improve creative and producing all work cost effectively and on schedule
  • Able to clearly direct and refine the work with staff and vendors/freelancers to get the best product
  • Understanding of digital landscape and how to service and optimize direct response marketing
  • Proven leader who motivates, inspires and drives creative thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high level results
  • Team player with a collaborative approach in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Experience managing a team that produces and delivers a high volume of creative marketing assets, on time and on budget
Other Requirements:
  • Must include portfolio of examples of image and series marketing when applying for this role
  • Knowledge/experience with Adobe Suite and other editing software platforms
