Summary of Position

The Starz Creative team is a creative and production resource for Starz properties and divisions. We work closely with our partners to conceptualize and develop brand and series marketing materials that meet business goals and push creative boundaries. 


The Preditor produces and edits video promotional materials for Starz brand and originals campaigns.  The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller who can develop highly effective creative across all platforms and types of content, from concept to final approval, according to strategic marketing direction and the Starz brand.  Demonstrating solid video editing skills and being a strong collaborative partner who can work effectively across a wide variety of internal teams is essential.  The Preditor will need to work independently, focusing on key production tasks while tracking all essential project details, and also with the Marketing & Creative Operations team to ensure all projects stay on schedule.

•    Develop, write, produce, and edit video promos for brand and originals campaigns
•    Edit using Adobe Premiere and companion applications
•    Collaborate with stakeholders, peers, and production personnel on all projects to generate high quality marketing materials
•    Source materials from previously completed assets for new promotional requests as needed
•    Troubleshoot as required the workstation, applications, and performance of connected services to determine whether escalation is required
•    Work with Marketing & Creative Operations to monitor production schedules to deliver initial cuts ahead of due dates, in order to allow adequate time for revisions prior to deadlines
•    Creatively incorporate sound design elements within a Premiere sequence
•    Maintain accuracy and attention to details for all work
•    Exhibit disciplined project, sequence, and metadata management within Adobe Premiere and other in-house platforms

Qualifications & Skills

•    A strong understanding of effective promo structure and pacing in all assigned projects
•    Ability to work within established brand guidelines
•    Minimum 3 contiguous years of contemporary employment in broadcast or OTT as a promotional video editor/producer
•    Minimum 3 contiguous years of experience using Adobe Premiere
•    Proven national level advertising and programming editorial as seen in professionally produced reel
•    High level of knowledge producing marketing materials for the digital space
•    Superior time management skills 
•    Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
