Summary of Position:

The Preditor role is responsible for concept development, writing, producing, editing, and finalization of video materials for the international marketing of Starz and the various premium networks of Starz.  Ideal candidate will be a strong visual storyteller who can develop creative according to strategic direction while staying within the STARZ brand.  Advanced video editing skills are essential, in addition to being a strong collaborative partner eager to work with content for our international channels. Candidate will need to work independently, focusing on key tasks while tracking essential details and deliverables.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conceive, develop, write, produce, and edit various length video marketing materials for Starz international digital networks and platforms 
  • Edit using Adobe Premiere CC and companion applications
  • Proven ability to work with foreign language and copy (German, Spanish, Italian, French, English)
  • Compose multi-layer segments in After Effects and adapt pre-render compositions in collaboration with the Design team as part of the finishing process
  • Collaborate with clients, peers and production personnel to generate high quality marketing material on deadline
  • Customize existing marketing assets for international territories
  • Complete knowledge of broadcast and digital content promotion and how to work within established brand guidelines
  • Understand and interpret revisions throughout entire approval process within short timeframes
  • Exhibit disciplined data and metadata management in addition to strong archiving skills 
  • Generate and ingest from OMF, AAF, EDL, XML files and other media transport bundles to initiate projects and transfer though production pipeline
  • Utilize broadcast signal equipment to measure & evaluate video, audio, and metadata
  • Troubleshoot as required NLE workstation, applications, and performance of connected services, to determine whether escalation is required 
Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or similar work experience) with emphasis in Film, Digital Media and/or Television Production required.
  • Minimum 4 - 6 contiguous years of contemporary employment in broadcast post production as a video editor/producer
  • Proven national level advertising and programming editorial as seen in professionally produced reel 
  • Bilingual applicants a plus (German, Spanish, French, Italian)
  • Superior time management skills in a time sensitive environment essential.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities as a team player and on an individual basis
  • Knowledgeable of modern office business applications and databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and presentation materials
  • Exemplary creative decision-making skills
  • Composure among VIPs and globally-recognized talent
