Summary of Position

The Starz Creative team is a creative and production resource for Starz properties and divisions. We work closely with our partners to conceptualize and develop brand and series marketing materials that meet business goals and push creative boundaries. The Digital Design team develops digital-first creative and translates campaign concepts into a digital world. 
The Junior Digital Designer will work closely with the Digital team across OTT, Platform, Digital and Social Media creative marketing efforts. This role will produce a range of creative assets from conception to final delivery ensuring a consistent visual brand experience across. This individual will be tasked with delivering multiple creative solutions for digital marketing assets as they partner with other designers, copy writers and web developers. They must have a meticulous eye for effective yet elevated design and a strong visual understanding of the brand. They thrive in an independent role, can communicate with their senior leaders effectively, and are always eager to learn. They instill trust by executing work on-time, communicating to their stakeholders proactively, and thinking beyond their daily tasks. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Creative and Marketing to design, produce and version brand and series campaign creative 
  • Effectively manage day-to-day tasks across assigned creative marketing projects 
  • (ex. platform images, digital banners, social, websites, newsletters and emails, etc.)
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, balancing a heavy production workload alongside creative development
  • Design according to brand standards and style guides
  • Communicate with art directors and partners consistently through design approvals to ensure work is produced to strategy, spec, and brand  
  • Maintain projects across the Adobe Creative Suite to spec, following proper structure, templates and naming conventions as directed 
  • Collaborate with web developers on design needs, including UI/UX executions and designed assets

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1+ years of digital design experience in a studio, network, or creative agency
  • 1+ years of experience managing a creative execution
  • Strong portfolio of digital design examples
  • Strong background in design, layout, and typography
  • Strong professional knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects) 
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and Google applications including Word, PowerPoint, GoogleDocs, GoogleSlides, and GoogleSheets
  • An amazing attention to detail
  • An eye for streamlining and design flow optimization without risking creative quality
  • Time-management, collaboration, and communication skills

Nice to Haves

  • Motion graphics and animation skills a plus
  • Understanding of Social creative best practices (ex. Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, Pinterest) a plus 
  • Understanding of Direct Response creative best practices a plus 
  • Experience with Workfront a plus

Compensation

$65,000 - $70,000
