Job Title:  Cybersecurity Engineer

Summary of Position

As a Cybersecurity Engineer at Starz Entertainment, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and protecting sensitive information. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify security vulnerabilities, develop and implement security solutions, and respond to security incidents to maintain the highest level of data and system protection.

Open to fully remote for the right candidate. Must be based in the US.

Responsibilities

• Security assessment: conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and address potential weaknesses
• Security solutions: design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools
• Incident response: develop and execute incident response plans, providing quick and effective solutions to security incidents and breaches
• Security policy and procedure development: contribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
• Monitoring and analysis: monitor network traffic and system logs for signs of security incidents, investigate security breaches, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences
• Security awareness training: educate employees on security best practices and provide training to promote a security-conscious culture
• Risk assessment: evaluate and prioritize security risks and work on strategies to mitigate them effectively
• Security testing: conduct security testing on new systems, applications, and technologies to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements
• Security compliance: ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards (e. G. , GDPR, NIST) and assist in preparing for and responding to audits
• Documentation: maintain detailed records of security incidents, actions taken, and security configurations, as well as produce reports for management

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, compTIA Security+, or equivalent
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, including risk management, incident response, and security infrastructure management
• Proficiency in network security, operating systems, and security technologies
• Experience utilizing and managing Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred) 
• Experience with Industry Standard Security Information Management Systems (Exabeam, Splunk, Sumo Logic, etc.) 
• Experience with Endpoint protection solutions such as (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Cylance) to perform protection, mitigation and forensic analysis
• Proficiency in Python and/or Power Shell
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present security-related findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies

Compensation

$83,500 - $129,300
