Job Title:  Software Developer

Summary of Position

The primary role of the Software Developer will be to contribute to the development for our consumer facing iOS and tvOS applications. The Software Developer will work closely with business analysts, UX designers, front-end and back-end developers to help maintain and support the STARZ video streaming platform. 

Responsibilities

• Build “best in class” content discovery and video streaming experiences for STARZ subscribers on Apple streaming platforms 
• Participate in code reviews with staff as necessary to ensure a high quality, performant product
• Collaborate with the broader Digital Platform teams including quality assurance professionals, designers, business analysts and other software engineers in an open, creative environment 
• Contribute to all aspects of the software creation process:
  • Writing high-quality software
  • Able to debug and solve code defects
  • Object-oriented and protocol-oriented development
  • Unit testing/test-driven development
  • Integration testing
  • Deployment
  • Maintenance
  • Post-deployment production support and troubleshooting
     

Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years’ experience in an enterprise or consumer software development environment
• 1+ year experience in iOS and/or tvOS development using Swift
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred
• Programming skills creating large-scale applications
• Experience developing consumer facing applications
• Must possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills which will be used to diagnose, debug and solve issues
• Knowledge of in-app purchasing and video streaming preferred
• Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code 
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

$95,400 - $149,300
