Director, Canada Sales Planning & Content Strategy

Summary of Position

Lionsgate is currently seeking a Director, Canada Sales Planning & Content Strategy reporting to the Executive Vice President & Managing Director, Canada Distribution and Ventures in the Worldwide TV Distribution Team. This position will work closely with our Sales Team and other departments to best manage the Lionsgate Canada product library and opportunities for revenue maximization in the market. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive management and administration of Lionsgate Canada’s content inventory, including tracking contracts, working in various systems, communicating information internally 
  • Build out key strategies for the sales team including analysis for and sales support of ongoing initiatives; propose content strategy for initiatives 
  • Responsible for data ingestion and providing analysis of title performance through tracking revenue to establish renewal opportunities in market
  • Run reports using Lionsgate’s various internal database management systems (content avails, sales histories, etc.)
  • Liaise with the English and French TV Sales team, servicing and operations, delivery, rights management, accounting, and finance teams
  • Provide feedback and administrative assistance as deals progress from initial offer to close; analyze past sales to provide historical pricing guidance for current negotiations
  • Liaise with finance team to assess and evaluate territory budgets, film and series financial benchmarks, and other sales priorities
  • Collaborate with Sales team to track window priorities across both Film & TV premieres and catalogue
  • Project future revenue by analyzing historical revenue and sales generated
  • Participate in ongoing internal systems development
  • Guide management of Film Library Acquisitions
  • Lead creation and presentation of internal decks to upper-level management
  • Ad hoc requests

Qualifications and Skills

  • 4-6 years of related industry experience preferred
  • The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment while handling competing priorities
  • Interest in the Film & Television Business
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe suite, and Tableau
  • A university degree with an emphasis in Business preferred

Nice to Haves

  • Prior work experience organizing and analyzing large data sets
  • Proficient in Tableau
  • Knowledge of film and television content (titles, genres, directors, cast, etc.)
  • Experience using Airtable and Salesforce
