Summary of Position

Lionsgate is currently searching for a Manager, Television to support the Television Group with day-to-day development activity. The ideal candidate will have successfully developed Television Series. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Television Group to develop a slate of scripted television series
  • Develop new projects, including identifying and securing new talent for projects in development
  • Introduce new writers to the company with the potential for future development
  • Build and maintain relationships with managers and agents to find new writers, artists, and directors
  • Source materials, such as books, stories, and scripts for consideration in future television projects
  • Leverage existing relationships with broadcast and cable networks and digital platforms to support sales
  • Collaborate with other development executives on projects and work well in a team setting to support and improve all projects in development

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience at a Television Studio or Network in development
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience preferred
  • Candidate should have experience in Television Development 
  • Must bring a proven creative perspective to all internal meetings and ultimately to external partner meetings 
  • Must possess strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Should have a passion for entertainment and the desire for a career in Television Development
