Summary of Position

Lionsgate is currently seeking a Full-Time Publicity Coordinator to Support the Head of Worldwide Publicity. The coordinator will support all aspects of the team, while taking lead on several job functions, with a primary focus on day-to-day correspondence and management of screenings, assets, meetings, general publicity, and events. Must be a creative, yet analytical thinker with some experience in executing plans with internal and external stakeholders including agencies, talent, filmmakers, and production teams. The ideal candidate is extremely organized with excellent project management skills, is meticulous, and has a deep love of film, press & public relations and pop culture.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Worldwide Publicity by providing administrative support including, but not limited to, managing schedule(s) and calendar(s), booking travel, screening calls, couriering packages, filmmaker-talent gifting, communicating with other motion picture executives & the overall marketing department team, and executing all other administrative tasks
  • Support the Publicity Department as needed including brainstorming ideas, proofreading and assisting in developing and executing elements of PR campaigns 
  • Prepare all business-related expenses using CONCUR; make sure all expenses are completed and submitted in a timely manner.   
  • Manage vendor invoices and publicity expenses, ensuring accurate and timely processing within budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and managing budgets for publicity campaigns and events.
  • Monitor relevant industry news daily 
  • Coordinate agenda and other handouts, print items for meetings and take meeting notes 
  • Manage and maintain key department documents: key dates, contacts, agendas, media lists, etc.  
  • Staff publicity events (premieres, junkets, award shows, etc.)
  • Coordinate all asset deliverables (trailers, key art, stills, clips, etc.), coordinating with both internal (marketing strategy, digital social media) and external (PR agencies) teams
  • Co-manage creation and distribution of screener links for press and industry requests, in addition to booking coordination for in-person screenings and greeting filmmakers 
  • Maintain and update internal team documents
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and schedules for talent, executives and filmmakers 
  • Help confirm meetings with internal teams, talent reps, filmmakers, PR agencies, and industry vendors and organizations
  • Assist with business-related expense reports as needed
  • Work with publicity team and outside PR agencies to identify opportunities to amplify press coverage and talent interviews

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in publicity within an agency or studio is preferred
  • Strong project management and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Project Management Tools, including PowerPoint, Excel and more 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
