Summary of Position:

The first major new studio in decades, Lionsgate is a global content platform whose films, television series, digital products and linear and over-the-top platforms reach next generation audiences around the world.  In addition to its filmed entertainment leadership, Lionsgate content drives a growing presence in interactive and location-based entertainment, gaming, virtual reality and other new entertainment technologies.  Lionsgate’s content initiatives are backed by a nearly 17,000-title film and television library and delivered through a global licensing infrastructure. The Lionsgate brand is synonymous with original, daring and ground-breaking content created with special emphasis on the evolving patterns and diverse composition of the Company’s worldwide consumer base.  

 

 

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for an Assistant reporting to the EVP and Associate General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing corporate legal support with an emphasis on entity management for numerous subsidiaries and joint ventures; 
  • Tracking corporate subsidiaries and maintaining corporate minute books and records;
  • Filing all formation, merger, and dissolution documents for new created entities;  
  • Drafting resolutions and other corporate documents such as bylaws and operating agreements; 
  • Maintaining subsidiary database and legal files; 
  • Acting as a liaison for Board of Directors and C-level executive officers; 
  • Managing and planning Board of Director and Shareholders meetings, including preparing meeting materials; 
  • Drafting correspondence and simple general corporate, securities and finance agreements; 
  • Executing special business projects, as needed;
  • Routing contracts for execution; and
  • Provide administrative support including answering phones, scheduling meetings and conference calls, making travel arrangements and processing expense reports.
     
Experience & Skills:
  • Self-starter who has an interest in the business and legal side of entertainment.
  • Detail-orientated.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Enjoy working in a very fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must have strong computer and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working for a public company and/or in business & legal affairs is a plus, but not required.
  • College degree is required.
