Job Title: Application Lead, Data & Analytics

Summary of Position
The Data Application Lead will lead a team of data and analytics developers and engineers responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data-driven applications and services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, scalability, and performance of our internal data solutions and tools. You will work closely with project and product managers, business analysts and data/analytics developers/engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with Lionsgate’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of internal data solutions.
- Manage a team of data application developers, including performance reviews, mentoring, and career development.
- Oversee the application lifecycle, including architecture, security, patching, and certificate management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure high availability and compliance with IT standards.
- Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.
- Maintain and evolve the application server inventory and patching schedule.
- Support the replatforming of legacy tools and consolidation of vendor solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in software/application development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical background in backend development and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud/data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, Tableau, Airflow, SSIS, AWS) and integration patterns.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects on time.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in media, entertainment, or content-driven industries.
- Exposure to low-code platforms and data visualization tools.
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
- Ability to create basic planning and architectural deliverables (eg, work plans, diagrams)

Compensation
$155,000 - $160,000
