Job Title: Analytics Engineer, Data & Analytics

Summary of Position
As an Analytics Engineer, you will serve as the critical link between data engineering and business analytics. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into clean, well-modeled datasets that are ready for analysis and reporting. This role requires a strong foundation in SQL, data modeling, and modern ELT practices, as well as a collaborative mindset to work closely with data engineers, analysts, PMO and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable dbt models in our Snowflake data warehouse.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure upstream data pipelines are optimized for analytics use cases.
- Partner with analysts and business users to understand data needs and translate them into well-documented, reusable data models.
- Implement and enforce data quality checks, testing, and documentation standards.
- Contribute to the development of our internal data product framework, including metadata, lineage, and versioning.
- Support the adoption of tools like Sigma Computing, Tableau, and similar BI solutions for self-service analytics.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-functional planning with product managers and engineering leads.
- Experience with working with source code repositories/version control in such tools as GitHub
Qualifications and Skills
- 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with dbt (or similar transformation frameworks).
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
- Familiarity with ELT tools such as Matillion, Airflow, Microsoft SSIS or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data governance, and testing best practices.
- Good and working communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working in media, entertainment, or content-driven organizations.
- Exposure to Python for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for analytics code.
- Snowflake and/or cloud platform (eg, AWS, Azure) certifications are a plus
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance in analytics environments.

Compensation
$120,000 - $125,000
