Summary of Position

Lionsgate Canada is seeking a TV Development intern to work with both the Scripted and Unscripted teams. This intern will be working with the Development teams to help source IP, assess incoming material, and learn on setup television projects. An interest in book scouting, and a fast reader is a positive for any candidate. The team is interested in fostering an aspiring scripted television executive's skills across all areas of scripted development. 

Responsibilities

  • Script reading, coverage, research, basic administrative grid upkeep, image sourcing for pitch decks, creative brainstorming in response to marketplace needs, director grids, competitive tracking and ad hoc projects as needed 
  • The intern will have plenty of opportunity to observe and participate in development conversations regarding active and internal development projects 

Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Television, Film, Media or any related field.  
  • Passion for and knowledge of creative current television, popular writers, directors, and auspices. 
  • Database management and information gathering 
  • Excellent oral, written communication; fast reading skills is an asset 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • In-depth working knowledge of Box, Canva, Airtable, PowerPoint and the MS Office Suite  
  • Strong interest in the scripted and unscripted television landscape.

All interns are required to attend orientation on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026.

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 40 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office
