Financial Analyst, Participations

Summary of Position

Lionsgate Canada’s Participations department is actively seeking a Financial Analyst, Participations to fill an existing vacancy on the team. Reporting to the Director, Participations, the primary focus of this position is to prepare detailed financial analysis, statements, and present results of their work to colleagues and management, and collaborate in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze participation statements and related financial reporting.
• Gather supporting documentation, review contracts and accounting records, and perform detailed financial analysis as required.
• Identify, test, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.
• Interpret and evaluate contractual provisions related to participations and associated financial obligations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Business Affairs, Legal, and Accounting teams to resolve issues and support business objectives.
• Support special projects, audits, and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, participations, royalties, residuals, or a related financial reporting environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict contractual deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis

Salary Range

$50,000 - $60,000
