Summary of Position

Lionsgate Canada’s accounts payable department is actively seeking a Coordinator, Accounts Payable to fill an existing vacancy on the team. Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable, this position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payment documents such as invoices, vendor set ups, and any other accounting transactions related to accounts payable management. This includes maintaining vendor accounts, credit balances, and investigating account irregularities. This role is also involved in issuing the approved cheque run, month end process and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and coordinating all accounts payable transactions including vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring accurate account coding.
  • Matching and verifying accuracy of invoices with purchase orders.
  • Ensuring appropriate approvals are received for invoices prior to system entry.
  • Reconciling vendor accounts and addressing vendor inquiries including payment status.
  • Managing vendor onboarding and ensuring vendor files are current and complete.
  • Supporting month end process.
  • Supporting various audits.
  • Maintaining Accounts Payable filing and storage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or business administration.
  • 1-3 years direct experience in an accounts payable capacity.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP accounting software.

Compensation

$50,000 - $55,000 CAD
