Summary of Position

Lionsgate is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a highly analytical and dynamic team. This position is responsible for executing audits and financial analyses related to profit participation statements issued to third-party across film, television, and digital platforms. This role requires strong analytical skills, detailed contract interpretation, and the ability to produce audit-ready, defensible financial support while collaborating with cross-functional and external representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze participation statements, gross receipts, distribution expenses, production costs, and breakeven calculations
  • Reconcile participation statements to general ledger activity and underlying source systems
  • Identify reporting variances, assess audit claims, and quantify financial impact
  • Prepare detail schedules, workpapers, and audit support suitable for external review
  • Review and interpret participation and distribution agreements
  • Apply contractual definitions related to gross receipts, distribution and production expenses, and audit limitations
  • Evaluate accounting treatment for consistency with contract language
  • Interface with external auditors in a professional and well-prepared manner
  • Assist in preparing settlement analysis, including claim summaries and financial support
  • Track audit status, tolling periods, exposure estimates and settlement activity
  • Maintain organized, well-documented audit files and correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and documentation standards

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in participations or entertainment finance is preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze complex contracts and large financial data sets
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large-volume reconciliations)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines

Compensation

$77,500 - $80,000
