Summary of Position
The Senior Coordinator, Consumer Products is responsible for leading Product Development of all Consumer Products initiatives across Global Products & Experiences, including the review and approval of film, television, live, interactive and location-based entertainment merchandise globally. The Sr. Coordinator, under supervision from the Director of Consumer Products, will be involved in the entire life cycle of Consumer Products initiatives, managing and sourcing creative assets, style and brand guides, and providing team feedback to our global licensing agent, various partners and licensees. In addition, the Sr. Coordinator will oversee the strategic positioning, development, and review and approval of marketing materials and assist in executing the strategy, operations and marketing across various Consumer Products initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Leads the day-to-day approvals process for all product submissions, utilizing resources to scale efforts to match demand of business
- Collaborates with partners and internal teams across the studio to oversee marketing initiatives and product launches
- Provides support to our partners with creative assets, style guides and reference materials, working to source materials and oversee clearance for use
- Coordinates with creative team to generate brand, marketing, and presentation materials necessary for the facilitation of business and marketing.
- Identifies market trends and undertakes global research of consumers, competitors, and market environment to assist with development of new product offerings.
- Contributes to improvements to internal processes, to streamline efforts and ensure all timelines and deadlines are met.
- Aids in special projects and initiatives to assist in new areas of growth across the business
- Manages calendar and project milestones
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 2-years’ experience in consumer products or related fields applicable to responsibilities, preferably entertainment based
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and resourceful in finding solutions to problems
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently, as well as within a team setting, with exceptional time management skills
- Ability to multi-task several projects against deadlines
- Basic knowledge of digital and social programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook,
- Acrobat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter; Adobe Creative Suite, MyMediabox or similar
- Eager to learn and has a flexible mindset
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Interest in Consumer Products and fan of Lionsgate properties is a plus
