Summary of Position

The Worldwide Television Marketing Creative Services group is looking for a talented Assistant Editor Intern to join the team. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task for a high volume of projects. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail and who is ready to jump in and hit the ground running. This role will support the Creative team and will handle a variety of tracking, organizing, and delivering creative marketing projects, and will report directly to the Creative Director-AV on the Worldwide TV Creative Marketing team.

 

The AV Creative Marketing Team in the Television Studio is seeking an Assistant Editor intern. The intern will work directly with On staff Editor and Assistant Editing team to assist in creating and developing promo content on our various FAST Channels to attract and engage potential viewers.

Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ingesting media and prepping videos for edit within Adobe Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder
  • Candidates may be asked to troubleshoot common post issues and address technical notes within edits
  • Help QC files and edits
  • Potentially attend productions, when assigned, and serve as on-set Media Manager
  • Ingest, transcode, organize, and archive footage
  • Keep detailed logs on footage, ingests, and preps
  • Prep, create string outs, and apply markers
  • Assist in finishing conform assets for delivery to vendors for sound and color, as well as
    client deliverables
  • Collaborate with Editors for larger projects, providing support with dailies, selects, and
    workflow knowledge to streamline the post process, etc
  • Address simple technical notes within projects and in-video graphics when requested
  • Potential to edit short-form content
  • Assist Post-Production Coordinators in managing of assets and production materials
  • Support communication between Production and Post-Production teams
  • Give feedback on and help improve workflows
  • Work with production technologies to resolve technical issue

Skills

  • 1+ years experience assistant editing digital content
  • Comfortable working with common video codecs, formats and timecode formats
  • Comfortable sharing feedback within a small team environment
  • Detail-oriented, technical, and open to new ideas
  • Ability to complete tasks autonomously
  • Ability to adapt and meet changing timelines & deliverables while maintaining multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge of Post Production and Production process and equipment
  • Proactive, positive team player, able to help guide projects from ingest to delivery

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 40 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office
