Summary of Position

Lionsgate is currently seeking a Creative Executive. This role encompasses supporting senior executives on all projects, from inception to release. 

Responsibilities

  • Reading scripts, screening films, and tracking creative materials for production and development consideration
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with agents, producers, filmmakers, writers, actors, and distributors
  • Evaluating all creative material and making recommendations to senior management team based on sellable concepts and IP 
  • Tracking competitive projects across the industry
  •  Generating cast, writer, director, and producer lists throughout the development process
  • Providing notes and feedback on project drafts, outlines, and cuts  
  • Maintaining communication with filmmakers during all phases of the production process 
  • Sourcing new material for development or production consideration

Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidate must have prior experience as a junior executive in development at a studio or production company. 
  • Ability to generate creative ideas for projects 
  • Must be diligent, punctual, proactive, strong in writing coverage and pitching material and extremely detail-oriented with maintaining script and other available material.
  • Self-starter who proactively seeks ways of developing his/her/their own skills, while taking direction, support and feedback from senior executives    
  • Maintains the strictest levels of confidentiality and discretion around all activity, in particular in relation to ideas and concepts generated by the team
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel

$80,000 - $90,000
