Summary of Position

Lionsgate is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Coordinator, Learning & Engagement (L&E) to support key Learning & Development (L&D) and Employee Engagement initiatives. Based in Santa Monica, this role plays an integral part in supporting the employee experience and is well-suited for someone who is organized, service-minded, and aspiring to build a career in HR within a fast-paced entertainment environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full employee lifecycle and plays a direct role in fostering connection, culture, and learning across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Learning & Development Administration
    • Perform LMS administration (Docebo), including course assignments, course uploads, user support, reporting, tracking, and troubleshooting.
    • Support key components of learning programs (e.g., Executive Coaching, Tuition Reimbursement, Mentorship Program, Leadership Programs) from revising marketing materials and how-to guides to onsite event support (setup/breakdown, tech setup, printouts, etc.).
    • Compile reporting and track annual, Compliance course training and Performance Management Conversation (PMC) form completion using Excel.
  • Program Communications
    • Update intranet and draft employee communications (Lionsgate Life newsletters, announcements, event invitations, surveys, etc.).
    • Support with timely distribution of L&D communications, program reminders, and follow-ups. 
  • Onboarding & Employee Experience
    • Welcome new hires by supporting onboarding paperwork, I-9 verification, orientation sessions, and follow-up surveys.
    • Support with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) by building decks, Monday.com boards, communications, and event logistics.
    • Coordinate employee recognition programs by reviewing nominations, partnering with internal HR stakeholders, and preparing recognition materials.
    • Track organization of employee swag and maintain HR closet inventory.
    • Assist with event coordination of annual, company-wide engagement events such as Impact Day, New Hire Celebrations, Holiday Party, and Wellness Fair—including logistics, liaising with vendors, RSVPs, materials preparation, setup/breakdown, and follow-up communications.
  • Team Operations & Administration
    • Provide administrative and scheduling support to the L&E team and the broader LG Life team.
    • Process invoices, track expenses, and support budget-related tasks for L&E programs and events.
    • Keep all materials, spreadsheets, and project boards up to date using tools like Monday.com, Excel, and Box.
    • Conduct research, assemble decks or visuals (using tools like Canva, PowerPoint), and take initiative on ad hoc projects that enhance the employee experience throughout the year.
    • Respond to employee inquiries and manage shared HR inboxes with professionalism, accuracy, timeliness, and care.
    • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and program data.

What You Bring

  • A strong desire to build a career in HR, Learning & Development, or Employee Engagement.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience; internships or entry-level roles in HR, L&D, Employee Engagement, Communications, or other corporate environments are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Friendly, positive, and collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills: comfortable writing clear emails, speaking with employees at all levels, and presenting information clearly.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and curious, with a willingness to learn new tools and anticipate team needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work onsite in our Santa Monica office 4 days per week (9am–6pm PT).

Nice to Haves

  • Previous experience in a corporate setting (or comparable fast-paced, matrixed organization) is strongly preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (especially in Organizational Psychology, HR, or a related field).
  • Experience with Canva, Monday.com, and Docebo LMS desired.

Compensation

$50,000 - $55,000
