Summary of Position

The Analyst, Global Channels & New Media Finance will support all FP&A functions for Lionsgate’s self-directed channels, including owned and operated FAST and SVOD channels distributed across dozens of platforms around the world. The role will provide key financial insight and analytical support for business performance tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. In addition, the role will support budgeting, tracking, and ongoing analysis of Lionsgate’s global AVOD and SVOD rev share businesses.

Responsibilities

Core FP&A Support

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans for the self-directed channels portfolio.
  • Consolidate and analyze P&Ls for owned & operated channels, including both revenue and cost tracking by platform, region, and vertical.
  • Support revenue forecasting for worldwide AVOD and SVOD rev share, focusing on title-level and platform-level trends.
  • Prepare regular variance analyses vs. budget and forecast, highlighting key business drivers and risks/opportunities.
  • Maintain channel and platform-level models for ongoing performance evaluation.

 

Reporting & Analysis

  • Manage recurring reporting deliverables, including monthly management decks, financial summaries, and KPI dashboards.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate revenue recognition, including submission of quarterly accruals.
  • Track marketing, content, and distribution costs tied to each of the channels businesses.
  • Create ad hoc analyses to evaluate new business opportunities, renewal scenarios, and channel performance optimization.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams across Distribution to align financials with business drivers and strategic priorities.
  • Support senior management with data-driven insights for strategic initiatives and partnership negotiations.
  • Help improve and automate reporting and other work flows, leveraging tools like Excel and Tableau.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting; experience in entertainment, streaming, or digital media preferred.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize large and complex datasets into concise, actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with ad-supported and subscription video economics, including revenue share and cost structures.
  • Experience using SAP and related applications, as well as Excel Macros.
  • Understanding of content licensing, channel distribution, or OTT platform operations.
