Job Title:  Accounting Manager

Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager in their Santa Monica location. In addition to the accounting function, the Accounting Manager will have a solid understanding of processes and controls in order to identify and help implement business process improvements as necessary

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, analyzing account balances and financial statements to determine variances from prior periods, as well as preparing schedules that support account balances
• Assist in preparing schedules for external auditors and assist in the preparation and support for SEC filings
• Coordinate with internal Accounting/Finance team regarding required financial reporting deliverables
• Various special reporting and analysis projects as needed
• Maintain financials for certain joint ventures and subsidiaries
• Responsible for Company’s participation and residual liability accounts

Qualifications and Skills

• The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
• Experience with general ledger accounting
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and internal controls
• Strong understanding of accounting systems and financial reporting
• Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding of GAAP
• Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Nice to Haves

• CPA
• Entertainment Industry accounting experience
• SAP accounting system experience

Compensation

$85,000 - $90,000
