Job Title: Manager, Rights Management

Summary of Position
Lionsgate is seeking a candidate to assist in the fast-paced Rights Management area of our Business and Legal Affairs Department. The primary focus of this position is to review, dissect and assimilate Motion Picture and/or Television Acquisition Agreements for key terms relating to Distribution Rights and entry into our Rights Management Database. This position requires an individual who possesses a unique blend of legal acumen and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Review and Abstract Rights-In Output Deals
- Review and enter all non-TV product Acquisition Agreements
- Enter in all Feature Productions
- Liaise with the Company’s Motion Picture Group on holdback requirements
- Review documents for cursory determination of the status of derivatives
- Copyright look up and review
- Redact Agreements as needed
- Ad hoc special projects as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be comfortable reading and dissecting legal contracts
- Database/Systems – must be able to quickly, proficiently and accurately enter data
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Fast and willing learner who is able to handle a volume of data and maintain attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
Nice to Haves
- Rights Management or Entertainment Distribution experience
- Law Degree or Paralegal Certificate/Experience
- Air Table Experience or other database applications

Compensation
$80,000 - $90,000
